Treating from my home allows me to have a comfortable and informal massage space. This means that babies are always welcome to accompany you during your appointments. I have baby supplies that can be used as extra support, or a loved one can come with you to help with baby as you are treated.

Since becoming a mother, my love for all things pregnancy, birth, babies and parenthood, has grown. I am now focusing most of my continuing education and massage practice to centre around this season of life.

Those patients that don’t need this service please feel free to continue your care with me, I still love treating in the same way I always have. See below for non pregnancy related offerings.

Deep Relaxation

Swedish Massage techniques are used during every appointment to help your body relax. A shift into your nervous systems parasympathetic state is the goal. This style of massage uses long and fluid movements with a slow rhythm. Other ways I encourage relaxation are: hot towels, scalp massage, heated table and blankets to add weight.

Relaxation massages can be used at any stage of your life, from pregnancy to post surgery, or acute injuries to chronic pain management. There are always benefits in allowing your body to rest and heal.

Targeted Areas

This alternative style of treatment uses a variety of different massage techniques to specific areas that need more attention. Same as the relaxation treatment, this can be beneficial in all stages of life and healing. The amount of pressure used can be very light to medium/firm depending on the specific technique used.

Some examples of techniques include: Pin and Stretch, Myofascial Release, Fascial Stretching, Biodynamic Craniosacral holds, Sustained muscle compression, Remedial Exercise and more.

Other Areas of Interest:
